JIGSAW Childminding is a Bournemouth Childminder based in the Throop – Muscliff – Moordown area of Bournemouth. We’re set one road back from the busy Castle Lane West, which is great for parents wanting to drop off their children on the way to work.

We are very close the Bournemouth School for Girls and only 5 minutes walk to Bournemouth School for Boys.

Although we are based in the Throop – Muscliff – Moordown area of Bournemouth, we are out and about so as to take full advantage of all the local facilities on offer to childminders such as Bournemouth Beach, local parks and The New Forrest.

We prepare our children’s meals from scratch to ensure the correct balance of nutrition. We always consider special dietary requirements when preparing the food on daily basis.

We live in a large detached property with a specifically designed modern open plan lounge- kitchen-dinner (play area), as well as a quiet room for children wishing to read or watch TV.

Upstairs we will soon have an area for younger children and babies to sleep. The property is decorated in keeping with recent views that children’s environments should be calm and relaxing. We have a downstairs shower room and toilet facilities. The property has a secure enclosed garden, which is accessed from the lounge- kitchen-dinner (play area) where the children have their own garden patch where we grow flowers and vegetables, including pumpkins ready for us to carve at Halloween.

We have large variety of toys for indoor and outdoor fun all of which have CE or BS safety kite marks.

We have completed the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) course for quality childminding. We are members of the NCMA (National Childminding Association) as well as OFSTED registered and are fully inspected regularly.  We are qualified in Paediatric First Aid and we both have enhanced CRB police checks.

We will soon train for to become a Quality Assured childminder to Level 3 (the highest level available).  Quality Assured Childminders are committed to ongoing professional development and training.  These childminders will be working over and above the National Standards. We attend regular training for further development.

We have full Public Liability Insurance and comprehensive childminding car insurance, which also covers all children in our vehicles, along with regular MOT’s and breakdown cover.  Our vehicles are sign written so you may have seen us out and about!
